About Me

I was able to start ECC because in late 2015 my own journey of healing had progressed to the point where I was able to able to achieve the substantial reduction of the symptoms for a psychosocial disability for which I was initially diagnosed in 1993, to the point where I was able to completely reduce my dependence on medications and gain improved functionality. This was achieved in combination with Medical treatment, psychological therapy and lifestyle factors such as exercise, diet, and stress management.

It is now my passion to continue to serve and support others in what I believe comes from the unique place of having been through the process of identifying, evaluating, and successfully implementing the various strategies which supported me while propelling me on my Recovery journey. In addition to continuing the support work which saw me through my journey I am now accredited as a Standard Mental Health First Aid instructor, and bring my own enthusiasm and optimism to the instruction of those who will be providing support and  first responder care to people experiencing Mental Health issues.

Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare), 2013

I started my formal studies and then work in this field while I was in recovery, first completing my Disability Certificate III and then moving upwards eventually onto a degree in Social Science, specialising in Social Welfare. After my more recent relief from symptoms following Medical nutrient treatment I formally studied university-level Medical Science for a grounding in Biochemistry. I’m currently studying for a graduate diploma of Psychology at university level as I wish to enter the field of Neuropsychology so I may one day contribute to research and hopefully better treatments for those seeking relief as I did.
